CRITERIA AND GUIDELINES for election of fellows to the I.C.R.A.
Criterion 1 - Research
The nominees must have contributed to and still be active in research in rehabilitative audiology.
Criterion 2 - Advances in Technology
The nominees must present evidence of having contributed to advances in technology that are significant to rehabilitative audiology.
Criterion 3 - Methodologies and Procedures
The nominee must present evidence of having developed a NEW methodology/procedure in rehabilitative audiology.
Criterion 4 - Specialty Area(s) and Occupational Setting(s)
Specialty area(s) broadly defined as:
1.audiology, 2.engineering, 3.medicine, 4.physics, 5.psychology, 6.pedagogy, 7.sociology
Occupational setting(s) are broadly defined as:
1.university, 2.hospital, 3.private practice, 4.industry, 5.rehabilitation center, 6.specialized school, 7.government
Criterion 5 - Representation by Countries
There shall be made an attempt to bring Fellows to the Collegium from as many countries as possible. In order to broaden the membership to include many countries,
special efforts will be made to identify individuals who qualify for Fellowship as set forth in the criteria; 1) research, 2) advances in technology and
3) methodology/procedures.
At the least, for every four individuals brought into the Collegium who meet fully the Criterion 1) research, or 2) advances in technology, or
3) metholodology/procedures, special effort will be made by the Executive Council to identify one individual involved professionally with hearing
impairment and rehabilitation from a country wherein the infrastructure in rehabilitative audiology is not well developed.
Criterion 6 - Representation from a Country
Ten Fellows will be the maximum number to hold Fellowship in the Collegium from a single country.
Criterion 7 - Recommendations of Nominees to Executive Council
To be eligible for consideration for Fellowship nomination must come from two or more Fellows.
